“स्वच्छ भारत अभियान” पर लिखने का उद्देश्य लोगों को स्वच्छता के महत्व से अवगत कराना और सरकार द्वारा भारत को साफ-सुथरा और स्वस्थ बनाने के प्रयासों को उजागर करना है।
2. परिचय (Introduction)
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a national cleanliness campaign launched by the Government of India on 2nd October 2014 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It was started to honor Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a clean India.
स्वच्छ भारत अभियान भारत सरकार द्वारा 2 अक्टूबर 2014 को प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा आरंभ किया गया राष्ट्रीय स्वच्छता अभियान है। इसका उद्देश्य महात्मा गांधी के स्वच्छ भारत के सपने को साकार करना है।
3. आवश्यकता / कारण (Need/Reason)
Before this mission, the condition of cleanliness in India was very poor. People used to throw garbage on roads, rivers were polluted, and open defecation was common. There was a great need for a nationwide effort to change people’s habits and create awareness about hygiene.
इस अभियान से पहले भारत में स्वच्छता की स्थिति बहुत खराब थी। लोग सड़कों पर कचरा फेंकते थे, नदियाँ प्रदूषित थीं और खुले में शौच आम बात थी। लोगों की आदतों को बदलने और स्वच्छता के प्रति जागरूकता लाने के लिए एक राष्ट्रव्यापी प्रयास की अत्यंत आवश्यकता थी।

Under this campaign, many activities were conducted such as building toilets in rural and urban areas, waste management systems, and awareness programs in schools and offices. Millions of toilets were constructed and volunteers participated actively in cleanliness drives.
इस अभियान के अंतर्गत ग्रामीण और शहरी क्षेत्रों में शौचालय निर्माण, कचरा प्रबंधन प्रणाली और स्कूलों एवं कार्यालयों में जागरूकता कार्यक्रम चलाए गए। लाखों शौचालय बनाए गए और हजारों स्वयंसेवकों ने सफाई अभियानों में भाग लिया।
5. महत्व (Importance)
Cleanliness plays a vital role in maintaining good health, environment, and social development. A clean country reflects discipline, awareness, and progress. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has made cleanliness a people’s movement in India.

6. लाभ (Advantages)
Due to this mission, open defecation has reduced, public health has improved, and diseases caused by dirt have decreased. The environment has become cleaner, and people have developed a sense of responsibility toward hygiene.
इस मिशन के कारण खुले में शौच में कमी आई है, सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य में सुधार हुआ है और गंदगी से होने वाली बीमारियाँ घट गई हैं। वातावरण अधिक स्वच्छ हुआ है और लोगों में स्वच्छता के प्रति जिम्मेदारी की भावना विकसित हुई है।
7. हानि (Disadvantages)
Some people still do not follow cleanliness rules seriously. In some areas, garbage disposal systems are not maintained properly. Lack of awareness and negligence by local authorities remain challenges.
कुछ लोग अब भी स्वच्छता के नियमों का पालन गंभीरता से नहीं करते। कई क्षेत्रों में कचरा निस्तारण की व्यवस्था ठीक से नहीं चलती। जागरूकता की कमी और स्थानीय निकायों की लापरवाही अभी भी चुनौती है।

This campaign has brought a visible change in society. Many cities and villages have become cleaner, tourism has increased, and people are more conscious about maintaining hygiene. It has also inspired other environmental programs.
इस अभियान से समाज में दृश्यमान परिवर्तन आया है। कई शहर और गाँव अधिक स्वच्छ हुए हैं, पर्यटन में वृद्धि हुई है, और लोग स्वच्छता बनाए रखने के प्रति अधिक सजग हुए हैं। इसने अन्य पर्यावरणीय कार्यक्रमों को भी प्रेरित किया है।
